Kuyata’s Country.

Lower Southern Arrente woman Audrey Kuyata Stewart knows the value of passing on language and history to family.

For the last 7 years Audrey has been working with the MLT to document, record and transmit her language and stories to family on country. In 2023 Kuyata’s Country, a film about Audrey, debuted at the Melbourne Documentary Film Festival.

Kuyata’s Country is an intimate telling of her country, her language and her home.

Kuyata’s Country was produced by Nicola Bell and Celeste Humphris with funding by the Mobile Language Team and the Yitpi Foundation.
